What people are saying about Krakow

Stunning scenery in the Tatra Mountains!

Had a friendly, informative and engaging driver/tour-guide all to ourselves with Mark who picked us promptly and transported us in air-conditioned comfort to our destination. The weather conspired to dampen our spirits when the heavens opened while in Zapokane, but no-one can do anything about the weather! The tour included the funicular railway down into Zapokane from Gubłowka as well as entry to a charming cemetery and an incredible visit to an old, wooden house which was beautiful. The weather meant we didn't feel able to experience the ski-lift though. Our only regret was that we don't feel we gave Mark enough of tip (only 20 zł), but we were a little confused by the exchange rate at times for which we would like to personally apologise to Mark for. With hindsight we should've given him at least 50 or 60!! Our mistake to our embarrassment! Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone visiting Kraków.

Very interesting with an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide

We had booked the tour with fiat126 and the cars and guide arrived on time. In Nowa Huta we saw the Aleja Roza, the steelworks entrance with a guided tour in the adm.building including the shelters in the cellar. We ended up by Nowa Hutas church. Our guide told us about both the establishment of the city and the planning behind it, and did a very good job connecting its establishment in the 1950ies with what happened in the 1980ies with Solidarity, Pope John Paul II and the building of the church. Being a native of Nowa Huta, he obviously felt proud of his city and was enthusiastically engaged in telling its story. Highly recommended!

Disappointing service to an attractive place. Nice driver.

We contract "Zakopane & Tatras Mountains from Krakow WITH Options", but the travel agency offered only transportation and said it was WITHOUT options, in spite of seeing the voucher. We left about one hour late and had to buy the tickets to the funicular in Zakopane (2 x 22 PLN - total 10,55 € more) In fact, they said we had only a "transfer" to Zakopane, without funicular - and no Tatra Mountains.

fun and informative.............................

What a great way to spend 4 hours. It went in a flash. Nowa Huta is a great place to visit and the information given to us by the guide was very interesting . It was good fun being driven around in the Trabants if not a little nerve wracking as there are no seat belts for the back seats. All in all a great day out and the taster we had of this area has made us want to visit again.

Quirky and informative tour on the model communist city project.

Ride around in a communist era car to see a time warp - the mostly abandoned showpiece headquarters of the new Lenin Steelworks. Our guide Mathew was very informative and nice and told us all the tidbits of life in his grandparents’ day. If you are interested in something different, this is a good tour for getting a feeling for life under the soviets.
