Full description
Kinabalu National Park, about 90 kilometers from Kota Kinabalu, is one of the world's most significant natural environments. The park is home to thousands of types of flora and fauna that are native to the area and several hundred that are found only in the park. Kinabalu National Park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2000, the first in Malaysia and while its tourist trails are well-worn, the majority of the park is an unspoiled paradise for rare flora and fauna.

Depart from Kota Kinabalu and take a 2-hour journey through breathtaking scenery to Kinabalu Park. Once you reach Kinabalu Park, you will have your own time to walk around the jungle trail in the park, observe wildlife and discover the nature.

Afterwards, head to Hot Spring Poring, where you will have lunch at Round Inn nearby the hot spring before a soothing sulfur bath. Take a dip in the all-natural mineral-rich hot springs surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. You will head back to Kota Kinabalu at around 4:30 PM after the spending time at the hot spring.

Ok

It takes two hours to get to the national Park, on the way stopping half an hour on some Café and souvenirshops area. The drive itself is worth doing, the views are so beautiful. In the Park we spent less than 15 mins, had expected to stay there 1-2 hours so to have time to walk around a little bit, so were pretty disappointed to that. The springs we wow Very short time, just walking by them and no were no offered a opportunity to swim there. Well, that was not ao terrible, place was pretty crowded. But we were taken for a canopy walk, which was not mentioned in programme, and that was so great! Also our guide, a nice guy, proposed to see the Rafflesia flower and we did so. Nice that too. So, good trip, some disappointmnets but worth the money.

Perfect

Don’t waste your time and money! Our guide was useless. Said and knew nothing about the park, the trails, or the flora and fauna. He spent the whole day with his face in his phone like a teenager and made no attempt to interact with us at all! I’m not even sure why he was there? The hot springs were closed, no big deal according to the other reviews that I’ve read, so we went to the Dairy Farm instead which was a total waste of time. Why does anybody want to see and smell cows? Our included lunch stop was a dirty and fly infested Chinese restaurant who’s staff was just as unfriendly as our guide. Needless to say, it wasn’t a good day.
