Second time that i am travelling booking on Get Your Guide and still far from being desappointed ! This tour is an excellent way to see more of the irish countryside. The landscapes are stunning and the guide was giving many infos and interesting stories (sometimes maybe a bit too much for the ones who like to be relaxing in a quite bus between the sites) Still, the organisation is well thinked, you have enough time to visit the sites as you like, and all the stops we made was completely worth it ! I recommend this tour without hesitation.
Not unlike the other tours we had taken, i.e. Giant's Causeway and Cliffs of Moher, this tour was a lesson in Irish history. The tour guide Aisling did a wonderful job of explaining in great detail about the past events, tragedies and the heroes. The walking tour of Kilkenny town was very enjoyable one. I feel the time allotted in Glendalough (2 hours) was a bit long just to see the woods and two lakes. However, the way to Wicklow mountains is dotted with towns, villages and natural vegetable of unsurpassed beauty.
Aisling and James were excelent - everything was thoroughly explained and made interesting and fun. I got to hold a lamb, so I'd say it was a perfect experience just from that. We got a bit of rain, but since I love the rain and the cold, for me it was just the perfect weather. All in all, a perfect day out on the beautiful Irish countryside.
This was a great day trip. You can really tell that the Irish love to tell a good story. Our tour guide Anthony was great, his stories were fun and informative. He also gave great advice on where to go in both Kilkenny and Dublin. Unlike most other tours, we had enough time to explore at our own leisure at all our stops.
We enjoyed our day trip to Kilkenny Castle, Glendalough and the sheep herding demonstration. The castle was interesting, the hike in Glendalough to the lake was invigorating, the history lesson at St Kevin’s was illuminating and the sheep dog demonstration was just plain fun! It was a wonderful day trip from Dublin.
