Full description
Take a tour to Pirigivo Village in the countryside, to breathe in fresh air and to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of an old Ukrainian village at Pirogovo Museum. It takes about half an hour to get there by car, and it's one of the largest outdoor museums in the world founded in 1969. Pirogovo Museum occupies a large area of 150 hectares, and consists of small Ukrainian peasant houses of the 18th-19th centuries, windmills and wooden churches brought from different Ukrainian regions.
You can also see more than 70,000 folk culture artefacts. Each separate “village”of the museum features typical buildings of certain historical regions of Ukraine: Polesia, Sloboda, Ukraine and Poltava Region, Carpathian's, Middle Dnieper Ukraine, Podolia, and Southern Ukraine. It is possible to enter the houses and see how Ukrainians used to live, where they slept and what house appliances they used.
Then, if you are hungry, you can have a lunch of Ukrainian food at Shynok. They cook very tasty Ukrainian cuisine. Pirogovo also celebrates different national Ukrainian holidays.
