What people are saying about Kazimierz
The guide was lovely and was obviously very passionate about her country. Some of the stories were very moving. I highly recommend. A guided tour is optional; however, everything is explained in a lot more depth than if you went solo and read it all yourself. Very factual and accurate history. We bought a ticket online, as it was slightly cheaper and saved about 20 minutes waiting in a queue. They also accept mobile tickets, so you don’t have to find a printer, which is ideal.
Boat was in poor condition and the location was not sign posted very well, the operators struggled with English but tried their hardest and were pleasant. The actual ride was good despite the torrential downpour to start with, the guide on the boat was knowledgeable and pleasant, he also helped with photos by manoeuvring the boat to get good pictures. Well worth what we paid for the trip.
Very interesting tour visiting the sites around Krakow. Plaszow is very different to Auschwitz but still very poignant and it's good to see the plans for the area. If you want to visit Schindlers factory then do this and get some more background information from a local guide who knows his stuff. Highly recommended.
Our tour guide was brilliant - very passionate about the camp and all aspects of the tour and also very knowledgeable. We were not rushed at all and had time to take in each area and to reflect. The museum is a rather tough and emotional place to visit but brilliant.
The museum is small and a lot of people visit, so it was crowded on our tour. The tour guide was great and I would not have taken as much away without her information. Also, tickets sell out so this was an awesome way to get tickets the day before we wanted to go.
