No visit to Volendam is complete without trying the famous and tasty cheese from the area. Treat your tastebuds to the delicious cheeses of Henri Willig with a cheese tasting workshop at the cheese farm in a rural Dutch polder landscape and learn about the traditional cheese-making process. Your guide will explain the cheese-making process, while you enjoy some of the finest cheeses with a cheese dip and mustard. After your tasting, you are free to see the stables to meet the cows and see how they are milked. If you're lucky, there may even be some cute baby cows in the stables too.  The Jacobs Hoeve is located in a typical Dutch polder landscape in a tiny village called Katwoude. Henri Willig was born and raised here. In 1974 he and his wife Riet took over the farm and they have been producing high quality, traditionally prepared cheeses ever since.
