Full description
Travel just 4 miles (7 kilometers) south of Jasper to the end of Whistlers Road to arrive at Jasper SkyTram. Time your visit for an early morning or evening flight to avoid crowds and take advantage of the best light for photos. After you exchange your voucher at the reservations window for a ticket, climb aboard the enclosed tram car for a 7.5-minute ride to the upper station. Your tram ride will ascend to an elevation of 7,425 feet (2,263 meters).

A knowledgeable guide will accompany you on your trip, sharing insights about the area, its history, and the wealth of wildlife living nearby. Once at the top, take a stroll on the boardwalk for breathtaking views of Jasper National Park, the town of Jasper, numerous turquoise-colored lakes, a panorama of mountain ranges, and the Athabasca River Valley.

Try hiking 0.9 miles (1.45 km) along the Summit Trail to the top of Whistlers Mountain at 8,081 feet (2,463 meters) for a 360° view of six mountain ranges, including Mount Robson, the highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies. Before you leave for your trip down the mountain, stop at the Summit Restaurant for a meal at the top of the Canadian Rockies. Visit the gift shops at the upper or lower stations to purchase a souvenir that will always remind you of this trip.

• Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Jasper SkyTram is operating with limited capacity and requires a specific departure time. Guests will be contacted within 24-hour prior to activity date to allocate a specific "flight time"
• Children under 6 years can ride free, but must get a ticket and travel with a paid adult.
• Allow 2+ hours to make the most of your experience.
• Wheelchair accessible except Summit Restaurant and the Summit Trail due to uneven terrain.
• Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately. Upper station temperatures can be 53° F (12° C) cooler than Jasper townsite.
• Well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome for a fee of $5.20 plus GST per dog.
