What people are saying about Jaipur
The day before this tour, we joined the tour in Agra by the same company(It was good!)After that tour, we were taken to their office and asked to pay for the entrance fee for the tour in Jaipur because they would buy tickets in advance by internet. He told me it was 4000Rp for 2 people which was the same price if we buy tickets by ourselves, so we paid 4000Rp. But actually, it was 2500Rp.. And more, we asked him to take us The Palace of winds and paid for the tickets for it, too, but the guide tried not to enter there as no worth seeing inside(just taking photos) But I told him I would like to enter because we had paid for the tickets for it, so he bought us the tickets and we entered. It was worth seeing! And we didn’t have a time in Bazar which I asked to go. The guide took us the textile shop and jewelry shop which we didn’t ask to go. (But the shops ware not bad) Anyway, both the guide and the driver took effort to get a good review from us. So overall, we had a nice time.
The driver was very courteous and prompt and drove very quickly. Be aware that nausea can be a problem if you are prone to motion sickness due to the bumpy roads, frequent direction changes, and quick stops. The hotels were both very nice although the service at the Hilton in Jaipur was not as smooth as the service at the Jaypee Palace in Agra. The local guides were all very knowledgeable. The tours of the local artisans are followed up with sales pitches to buy items made by those same artisans. This has been my experience in other locations and the salesmen were very polite. I found that the prices were higher than stalls on the street but the items were of very high quality. Don’t be afraid to bargain. Be sure to bring some cash not only for the entrance fees but also to tip your guides and driver. The suggested tip was INR500 for a guide and INR1500 for a driver but I tipped extra for the driver and two of the three guides.
This tour was really outstanding! I was fetched in a lovely vintage car from the Marigold Hotel movie by Rakesh which marked the beginning of the exciting trip. The tour guide, Krishna, was truly a knowledgeable man not just in terms of the history of Jaipur and India, but also the detailed astronomical science at Jantar Mantar! Over and beyond the amazing places of interest that Krishna and Rakesh awed me with, they also took the trouble to help me with my pharmaceutical needs. The lunch provided was definitely good quality and I enjoyed it very much! Absolutely loved this trip which has left with me very beautiful memories of Jaipur city and a wonderful impression of India too! I would highly recommend this inspiring trip to anyone who wants to get to know Jaipur! Thank you so much again, Krishna and Rakesh! :-)
The tour was amazing with a very well planned out itinerary and hassle-free transfers. Our tour guides, Rashid, Rajiv, and another that I cannot remember the name of, were all very professional and took great photos for us! We had an amazing time visiting all three busy cities of India without much hassle really thanks to this tour. Our driver, Ravi, kept his car so clean all the time and was always on time. Another special thanks to the tour manager who helped us to really customize the tour to what we want. I would recommend this to ANYONE who goes to India and wants to see the best parts of the county. Highly recommended!!
We found it quite difficult to find a street food tour for Jaipur but are very thankful that we decided to go with Yash’s tour. Yash was a great guide and took us to a variety of local places to eat that we wouldn’t have gone to otherwise. Our favourite things to try were kulfi, sugar cane juice and dabeli. It was a great way to see more of Jaipur and try some local food. We would definitely recommend this as a great evening activity
