We work closely with schools and individual teachers to develop information that engages and inspires young people. In 2014 alone we welcomed over 1m schools visits and gave over 155,000 inspirational presentations on the creatures of the sea to our visitors. •Conservation is at the heart of our business which operates a strategy of BREED RESCUE and PROTECT •We work very closely with many marine and specialists organisations including WDC (Whale and Dolphin Conservation); Earth Sea and Sky, the Marine Conservation Society and The Seahorse Trust. Istanbul SEA LIFE Aquarium is now open at Forum Shopping Mall in Bayrampasa, it is over 8.000 sqm. This next generation aquarium has a 83 m. long Ocean Tunnel which is one of the longest underwater tunnel in the world. Ocean Tunnel, with stunning 270° panoramic views, takes visitors through a underwater safari. Istanbul SEA LIFE Aquarium has around 15,000 resident sea creatures including spotted freshwater stingrays, alligator snapping turtle and giant moray eels in 21 themed zones and 47 tanks which totally holds 5 million liters of water. This is one of the world’s biggest ocean tanks. Visitors can find out how it feels to touch a sea star and other sea creatures in interactive rockpool experience or come face-to-face with rescued sea turtles from the depths of the Meditterranean Sea. It is also possible to dive with Europe’s largest collection of sharks, watch diver shows, creature feeds and let kids play at children play area.
