Full description
Meet your local guide in the morning at your hotel lobby and walk or get a tram to Hagia Sophia, home to the Deesis Mosaic and the tomb of Duke Enrico Dandolo. Over the course of the morning, you'll discover Istanbul's UNESCO-listed Old City through the lens of Dan Brown's novel, Inferno.

Visit the Hippodrome, where four bronze horses once stood before the Venetians removed them to St Mark's Basilica. Descend into the Byzantine-era Basilica Cistern, and see where the virus was hidden in the novel. Walk to the Spice Market, passing by the New Mosque with a view over Galata Bridge.

Want to see more? Upgrade to a full-day tour. You'll spend the afternoon on a cruise on the Bosphorus, witness Istanbul, both Asian and European, from the water, and delve deep into the hustle and bustle of Istanbul's Grand Bazaar: you may choose to enjoy an optional carpet demonstration. Afterwards, you can continue shopping at your leisure, enjoy a Sultanahmet dinner, or head back to your hotel.
