Full description
Depart Inverness and travel via Loch Ness to the Isle of Skye. Loch Ness is the largest Loch by volume in the British Isles, and one of the deepest ones too. Famous worldwide for its elusive monster, it hosts one of the most iconic castles of Scotland: Urquhart Castle.

Visit the Fairy Pools. Walk the trail that takes to you to the pools and enjoy a swim with the fairies. After visiting the Fairy Pools, stop at Talisker Single Malt Scotch Distillery based in Carbost. You'll go through the Visitor Centre (not on the tour) and, if available, sample one of the fine whiskeys produced here.

Continue your journey of the Isle of Skye, and take in the small village of Portree for an afternoon break. Portree is a small harbour village, and the capital of Skye. Before you travel back to Inverness, you will enjoy sights of the mighty Eilean Donan Castle, which is situated on its own island, and is one of Scotland’s most photographed castles.

Continue homeward bound to Inverness, where your tour ends.

Most beautiful scenery!! Truly get a huge taste of the Scottish highlands. From castles to Loch Ness, cows, sheep, and deer. To waterfalls and vast countryside. I’ve always sworn to never be a tour kind of person and try to do those things on my own but I would highly recommend this tour. Gordon our guide was very knowledgeable and upbeat which kept the day entertaining. Had a fantastic time

Stop thinking about this and just do it! Our tour guides were Gordon and Mike, both dressed in Kilts (for that extra immersion) and very knowledgeable. Mike was the driver, very professional and very safe, still giving a lot of information and advices, namely on places to go, see and eat at. Gordon, what a treat!! Full Scottish gear and the voice for the tour, taught us a lot about Scotland, the scenery, history and of course... mystical lore, Nessie and Fairies included (do not miss out on his Fairy explanation!). Be sure to ask about the cows (HAIRY COOOOOOS), you'll be in for a surprise! In short, you'll get more than your money's worth and see a lot more than advertised! Just marvelous! My wife and I booked this tour on a whim the day before it took place and we are SO thankful we did! Our guide Gordon was incredibly entertaining and knowledgable; he did a wonderful job of explaining everything we saw, including the history of the castles, how to properly drink whisky, and how to attract the famous Highland coos! That alone was worth the trip, but Gordon went above and beyond when he found out that my wife's family is descended from the Nicholson clan on Skye. He took us on a small detour to a private graveyard where past Nicholson clan chiefs are buried and helped us learn more about my wife's family history and connect with her past. I would highly recommend this tour (and especially Gordon!) to anyone who wants to explore Skye in a small group and have an unforgettable experience.
