What people are saying about Hoi An

Fabulous authentic Vietnamese cooking fun class

Wonderful and professional cooking class provided by Vietnamese chef in a pleasing and relaxed cooking rural environment surrounded by water into the sunset. English speaking Tour guide Thang picked us up at hotel in an airconditioned bus along with another 6 couples and travelled to the river where we were transported to the kitchen by canoe. Once there we were introduced to their herb garden explaining why and what ingredients she is using in class. Once in kitchen she asked for dietary needs and she explained the 4 dishes we were going to prepare. She involved everyone for the menus preparation and explained short cuts and techniques Eg when is oil ready to fry: place chop stick standing in oil once you see oil stat to fry oil is ready. Then everyone prepared dishes and Thang came around to check and assist if required. She remembered all names. Once completed we ate food at sunset. After dessert she gave everyone a gift. She transported each couple back to hotel. Highly recommended

We really enjoyed our day out on the island.

We went with an open mind. We enjoyed the old boat ride over which was nice and relaxing. We went up top. The water was a little murky but once the sun can out it was beautiful to swim in the ocean. We only did the snorkeling as a family of 4. (10yr, 12yr) After an hour and half of snorkelling we jet boated to another part of the island. It was beautiful. The lunch was very average but again we didn’t mind and I took snacks for the kids so we weren’t too fussed. The speed boat ride back was fast and furious. We made it back fine and it was a very enjoyable day all round. Thanks.

An amazing alternative to travelling by train or bus!

This was a fantastic experience. We were looking for an interesting way to travel between Hoi An and Hue, having not been very impressed with overnight trains and buses. We also did not want to lose 4 hours of our day just sitting in a standard vehicle. This trip makes a day of adventure out of the journey. The views from the mountain pass were beautiful and the stop for lunch and a swim at the beach broke up the day nicely. We had a brilliant English speaking tour guide. Would highly recommend!

Really interesting site and excellent guide

Enjoyed the tour and your guide was excellent. Particularly appreciated (bearing in mind the early start) the specific pick-up time being sent through the evening before. However, the van used is not big enough for western length legs: a slightly roomier van would make the journey to and from the temples much more comfortable.

It was Ayte (weather was v hot so not as enjoyable)

Tour was very good itself, our tour guide was very friendly and knew his facts however he was a little hard to understand but that’s not his fault! The boat part was nice with a simple rice & tofu lunch and the option to buy drinks on board. Overall was very good for the price and a nice bit of history added to our travels.
