What people are saying about Hoi An

Boat and food very nice. Staff pleasant.

We could not fault the food. However, we were very disappointed that there was no one at the pickup point at the stated time and we needed to telephone for clarification. A young man eventually arrived and escorted us 500 metres back the way we had come. He did not take us along the paved path through the market, that we later used to return home. Rather we were required to walk through the fish market which was very wet and slippery. A senior with some difficulty walking, I found this unacceptable, given the distance and the fact that I slipped and fell heavily on my side! A very bad start to the evening that was spoiled by having to sit wet and smelling of fish the entire time. Beware, boat does not sail near the pretty lantern lit part of Hoi An. The time is spent cruising in darkness along a stretch that quickly becomes uninteresting with little to be seen! Not at all what I had expected! We were the only diners

Romantic Sunset Dinner Cruise in Hoi An Reviewed by Lesley, 17/11/2018

We really enjoyed our day out on the island.

We went with an open mind. We enjoyed the old boat ride over which was nice and relaxing. We went up top. The water was a little murky but once the sun can out it was beautiful to swim in the ocean. We only did the snorkeling as a family of 4. (10yr, 12yr) After an hour and half of snorkelling we jet boated to another part of the island. It was beautiful. The lunch was very average but again we didn’t mind and I took snacks for the kids so we weren’t too fussed. The speed boat ride back was fast and furious. We made it back fine and it was a very enjoyable day all round. Thanks.

An amazing alternative to travelling by train or bus!

This was a fantastic experience. We were looking for an interesting way to travel between Hoi An and Hue, having not been very impressed with overnight trains and buses. We also did not want to lose 4 hours of our day just sitting in a standard vehicle. This trip makes a day of adventure out of the journey. The views from the mountain pass were beautiful and the stop for lunch and a swim at the beach broke up the day nicely. We had a brilliant English speaking tour guide. Would highly recommend!

Experiencing the everyday lives of the vietnamese people

Educational learning a little about the lives of the rural communities and how they live. Participating in traditional vietnamese cooking 'rice paper' and learning about the 'stilling' of King cobra snake wine at 65% and sampling..." fully understanding why the pigs were so called 'Happy Pigs'.... The tour and the programme were very informative, entertaining and educational. Lola & Lucky...awesome tour guides as well as being our hosts and friends for the day Thankyou

An interesting and enjoyable mix of activities

Since this was called a cooking tour it would have been better to focus more on the market portion of the tour with an introduction to the types of dishes where various spices, herbs and other ingredients are used and less on other things like basket boat and buffalo ride. Also would have preferred more variety of cooking - example - appetiser+soup+main+dessert rather than multiple pancakes.
