What an EXTRAORDINARY and wonderful tour with many beautiful stops on the way! We got a lovely breakfast. History is explained simple, sweet and short. Really awesome that you have a couple of hours to yourself in Mostar. Management of time is to a T! Really excellent. Cannot stress that enough!! We would not have been able to experience all this in one day had we planned it on our own. If you wish to experience a lot in one day but at a nice and slow comfortable pace this tour is THE one for you! We booked this tour literally last minute and Info Bosnia Tour is easy to communicate with, prompt, very flexible and extremely friendly. We honestly enjoyed this way more than expected! Ahmed our guide was just brilliant! Great energy, genuine, incredibly knowledgeable, intelligent and super funny! He answered any questions we had and was very respectful. We had so much fun, learned a lot and felt safe throughout the entire trip! We had an AMAZING time! Book it you won't regret it! :)
Vidokrug's Private Tour of Sarajevo and Mostar includes a great itinerary and Besam, my tour guide, made it a wonderful experience. Despite my booking the tour the night before, Besam arrived promptly and cheerfully at 6 am, which made it pleasant from start. Besam, whose English is perfect, conveyed a great deal of fascinating information as part of a conversation rather than a lecture. He convinced me to climb to top of the mosque in Mostar by persuading me that the view was worth overcoming my fear of heights and reassuring me that he would help me do it. A local guide lead an amazing tour of Sarajevo, including the Tunnel of Hope, the 1984 Winter Olympics sites, and the bridge where the Archduke's assassination sparked WWI. After a delicious and authentic dinner, we had a pleasant discussion while Besam expertly drove the curvy route home. At the end, I felt like I was saying good-bye to a friend. I plan to take Vidokrug's private 2-day Albania tour guided by Besam.
The tour itself and the guide were both excellent. The sights you visit are stunning and really worth the trip through the no-so-fun borders. The waterfalls at Kravice are simply spectacular. Shame you don't get to spend longer there. The downside of the trip is that the organisation of pick-up locations is very confusing and you spend the early hours of the day (6.40am pick-up time!) asking random people if they are either on the same tour as you or if they are the right guide (as there are loads of guides milling about the Pile Gate all doing the same sort of tours in various languages for various companies. Clearer information well ahead of your trip would be much better but they only send details around 24 hours beforehand so you have to keep an eye on your emails during your holiday. However, once your on the coach / minibus it's worth it.
We never expected to be so blown away. I am definitely putting Bosnia-Herzegovina in my bucket list... the trip was the whole package and our tour guide Peter was great, as well as Armana. He gave so much valuable and honest information about the history of the city, explained to us it’s involvement in the yougoslavian wars during the 90’s and explained everything from all different perspectives... amazed by everything. Guide tours gave very good tips for the free time (restaurants and such). The waterfalls were a wonderful and unique experience. Wish we could have stayed there more ! Bus was very comfortable and lots of space.
We enjoyed our day trip to Bosnia Herzegovina. The itinerary was good and the border crossings not too long. Our main problem was that it was quite hot and the buses air conditioning could not keep up. This made much of the ride and the stops at the border crossing very uncomfortable.
