What people are saying about Herculaneum

Great trip, the combination of ruins and volcano made a fantastic duo

Loved both the ruins and the volcano, could have done with a bit longer in herculanium, but fantastic. The walk, and or climb, to the top of the volcano could floor some people, as some older people were attempting to do it, this might need to be made a bit clearer as it would catch people out and did I think for some, the walk being long and quite steep too. Well worth it when you get to the top though, and the views are to die for... A bit worrying when you think about it afterwards that this volcano is very active and could blow again at any time, that wouldn't stop me going up though... The history behind this sleeping giant is too rich to want to miss out on. The only downside was the lack of toilets on the whole site of the volcano, this could be catered for better, with the amount of people going, and the exercise they do to get to the top, does fill your bladder somewhat, and with no where to go, makes the trip back to Naples a bit uncomfortable. A toilet block please.

Must see in Amalfi Coast or Napoli visit

This is the other Pompei and it is better. It has second floor buildings, color, and preserved wood. Felicia was all in in her presentation. Very effective tour guide.

Pompeii & Herculaneum: Can't decide which- See Both!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum through GetYourGuide. The actual tour provider was Napoli City Vision. A benefit I like of using GetYourGuide was that the entrance fees were included. Yes, you might save a couple of euros booking just the tour and paying the entrance fees separately (which is what most tours have you do), but I really liked having the entire thing paid for in advance. We couldn't decide between the two archeological sites and were pleased to find a tour that included both, and included guides for both. Many tours do not include a guide for Herculaneum. Sure, you can see these things on your own, but what exactly are you seeing? Having a guide is invaluable to put what you are seeing into context. Our guide was Stefania for both Pompeii and Herculaneum. She did a wonderful job explaining everything and keeping our group together. We were even pleased with the light lunch between the tours, simple fare that hit the spot.

pompeii was worth it , a short halt in Naples would have been better.

Very well organised tour. Pompeii was very though and informative. Naples was a bit rushed with no stopovers.

Naples & Pompeii Day Trip from Rome Reviewed by Kunal, 20/10/2018

Excellent day out using public transport

Arrived and found an English speaking guide whilst waiting in the queue which was reasonably priced and bought Herculanium alive for us.
