Berlin sightseeing beyond my expectations

We booked on purpose the evening boat trip as we knew the time frame would suit best seeing some attractions in day light and others illuminated during the night. Being on the deck of the boat while passing through the Bundestag area proved to be an impressive experience that one will not be able to get just by simply visiting the surroundings. The nocturnal architecture of Berlin is majestic! Although we were expecting the live guide to do the presentation only in German, she actually translated everything in English, which only brought more historical insight to our trip. The duration of the journey was entirely respected and we managed to pass through many neighborhoods, beautiful bridges, famous attractions and picturesque areas outside the touristic centre of Berlin. We felt that less than 2h can be a short trip and 4h can be too much so we were really happy with our choice. Best way to see the city! It can be chilly at night on the canals so we would recommend warm clothes :)

We saw many of the ground level sights without the crowds.

My wife loves being on the water, and this tour allowed us to see many of the sights we saw on land without the crowds and with a serene water setting. It was a perfect complement to what we saw from the TV tower, from which we got a lovely overview of the city. Many of the items we saw on the boat tour had been marked on the stationary window of the tower. We all (spouse, daughter, and 10 year old grandson (Luke) loved Berlin). The boat staff were all friendly and professional. When we got on the boat, we didn't know the tour had hand held English translator devices. I went below and asked, and they showed me where they were. If there was a sign, we all must of missed it.

Great way to see the main sights from an unfamiliar perspective

We had a great time on the boat, also the sun on the roof floor helped. The German audio coming from the speakers was a little hard to hear at times so you would probably get more out of it when booking the audio guide as well. The bar on board serves cold drinks but was a little overwhelmed because of the hot weather. Still, staff was super friendly and we had a good experience. If you want to see more than the main sights it's probably a good idea to book one of the longer trips. But this a great way to spend one hour on the water!

Smooth ride, but be sure to be there early enough

We booked a tour for 5 people for 17:30. Got there 17:27, the operator has just rolled the bridge and refused to let us board, and just sailed away. We were infuriated, called the service, they told us to come again the next day, in which we indeed got a ride with no additional cost, but with a very bitter taste. The ride itself was smooth and comfortable, bar with drinks (be sure not to bring too large notes - these were simply not accepted!), audio guides worked well.

Fun way to see the city in a short time!

We really enjoyed our segway tour of Berlin. After a short training we rode off on the streets of Berlin, hopping between East and West side with ease. Our guide gave us a comprehensive and factual view over the city packed full of tips and personal facts on how the city was growing. Massive thanks to our travel agency Meine Städte for recommending and booking the trip for us!
