Full description
Discover the beauty of this World Heritage Site on a private tour. Meet the local guide at the main Alhambra entrance and you will receive your skip-the-line admission tickets.

With priority access you’ll be able to immediately immerse yourself in history. For 2.5 hours your guide will lead you along the streets and through the palaces, courtyards and gardens of the Alhambra. You’ll learn about the history of the monument, typical Moorish architecture and the lives of the Nasrid sultans who lived in these palaces.

Discover the Nasrid Palaces, the former residence of the Moorish sultans. Enjoy a walk through mythical places of the Royal Complex such as the Palacio de Comares, Patio de los Arrayanes, Salón de los Embajadores and the Patio de los Leones with its famous Fountain of Lions, the symbol of the Alhambra.

Visit the Renaissance-style Palace of Charles V, which appears at great contrast with the Islamic architecture of the site.

Lastly you’ll have a chance to admire the Generalife Gardens, a summer residence of the Muslim kings of Granada and one of the oldest surviving Moorish gardens.

The gardens have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with the Alhambra Palace and the Albayzín.

Francis was an excellent guide. He knew all about the Alhambra and shared that knowledge right from the start of the tour by giving us a very broad perspective of the history surrounding the Alhambra. He continued to add more details throughout the tour. He answered our questions, was very friendly, and very knowledgeable.

Maria Jose Garcia was the best tour guide we’ve ever had. I visited Alhambra before without a guide, but this time I came with my family, and having Maria as our guide made it a completely new experience. We learned so much from her. Her knowledge of the history of Alhambra is so deep and if I were to do another tour in the area, I would definitely want her as my guide!

So much to see

Was great to book ahead and get a reserved time. The Alhambra is an amazing place which you cannot do on your own. Some things you can, this you absolutely cannot. Incredible views from the Palace. And the Gardens are gorgeous. You could wander through there for hours. Was a lot of walking, but a great day.
