Full description
Depart from Gold Coast on a fun-filled guided kayaking tour to South Stradbroke and Wave Break Island where you can snorkel, stand up paddleboard, and enjoy beach activities and lunch at the 'Chill-Out Zone'.

Start your open-sea adventure with a safety briefing and instructions on how to use the kayak and snorkel equipment and then paddle across the peaceful Broadwater towards Wave Break Island. Paddle through spectacular clear waters, where we might have the chance to spot dolphins, stingrays, and hundreds of tropical fish. Explore the Wave Break sandbanks where you can admire the perfect combination of the Gold Coast’s sophisticated skyscrapers blending with the natural landscapes.

Stop at the heritage-listed South Stradbroke Island or locally called “South Straddie”, one of the largest sand Islands in the world. Here, embark on a bushwalk to its Eastern side, reaching one of the most exclusive surfing spots on the Gold Coast. During this bushwalk, you might have the chance to spot the Golden Wallaby, a native specie only found on this Island. Admire a view that will take your breath away, over 21 km of pristine white sand beach giving you a sensation of freedom and immensity.

After your South Straddie adventure, paddle to Wave Break Island and park your kayak at the Northern side of Wave Break Island next to a beautiful spot called Dolphin Bay. Take a short bushwalk to Wave Break Island’s Eastern side to snorkel and explore the underwater beauty of this pristine Island. Swim by the friendly reef locals, the SeaPerch and Angelfish, and discover many different species, from sea cucumber, trumpet fish, sergeant fish, and if you are lucky you can even find Nemo.

After your snorkeling, walk back to your kayaks and paddle to the waterfront Chill Out Zone, a unique and exclusive place created to indulge you after all the day’s action. Lay back, relax and enjoy different activities, including stand up paddleboarding (SUP), beach soccer, beach racquets, rugby, and  Frisbee.

Enjoy a varied and delicious sandwich bar where you can mix your favorite flavors and prepare your own sandwich to savor while laying on your beach mat overlooking the ocean. This completes the Wave Break Island experience. From here kayak back to the launch spot at Broadwater.
