Full description
This 5 day Orkney tour departs from Glasgow, and takes in the best Scotland has to offer. On the first day, visit Loch Lomond, Rannoch Moor, and Glencoe, the site of the massacre of the MacDonald clan. Then, enjoy Fort Augustus, where you will have the option to take a Loch Ness by Jacobite cruise on the loch. After your cruise, pause for photos of the loch-side ruins of Urquhart Castle before travelling to Inverness.

On the second day, travel to Orkney. See Golspie, Gills Bay, and enjoy a ferry ride across to Orkney. Visit the Italian Chapel before checking in to accommodation in Kirkwall. On the third day, spend the entire day on the Orkney islands, filled with neolithic world heritage sites such as the Standing Stones of Stenness, Ring of Brodgar, Skara Brae, and Maeshowe.

On the fourth day, travel back to mainland Scotland to Ullapool, making various scenic stops on the day, such as Thurso and Smoo Cave.

On the final day visit Culloden Battlefield, where Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Jacobites were defeated. Afterwards, take a short trip to the Clava Cairns, a 4000 year old burial mound surrounded by standing stones. The tour then continues on to the 15th century Cawdor Castle, north east of Inverness. Explore the castle and its beautiful gardens. Then move on to Pitlochry for refreshments before traveling to Edinburgh. You will then be given a complimentary train ticket for a return journey to Glasgow.
