Kyoto: All-Inclusive 3-Hour Food and Culture Tour in Gion
- Small group
- Duration: 3 hours
As a man, this was such a fun experience. When I checked in, I think the (male) receptionist was a bit shocked to see it was only me, but he handled it with care and I didn't feel embarrassed at all. The photoshoot itself only lasted about 10 minutes, but they do offer to take some personal pictures with your cell phone. (So you don't only get the professionally shot photos advertised!) They also have an option to go to a private shoot in a home, but the cost was like $400 or something. Something to consider if you really want to have an extra special experience.
Good experience. Easy to use. Only suggestion is that the conductors know when certain facilities are closed. We hopped off to visit the Palace, it was closed. It would have been helpful if the conductor has told us that before we got off the bus. Also, it was a bit cold. It was not until later in the day where part of the roof was closed.
There is no way you can see everything in one day if that's what you're thinking! Plan ahead what you want to see so you're not disappointed. Also dress appropriately as only open seats are available.
Enjoyed the history and seeing a couple out-of-the-way neighborhoods. Mardi was an outstanding guide and provided an enjoyable evening visiting places we’d never have found on our own.
It was a fun tour but I left my phonecon the bus. I was worried it might be lost but thankfully the amazing staff went to great lenghts to find it for me. Thank you to all concerned.
