Full description
To begin the tour, meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel. Together you will make your way to the Nations square, where you will find the museum of the International Red Cross. There is an option to visit the museum accompanied by your guide. While out walking, you will eventually arrive at the famous UN-building at the Nations square. Your guide will then lead you further down to the botanical garden, built in 1817. Enjoy the stunning silence in the middle of the city center and see over 14 000 different species from 249 different families from all over the world.

You will continue with your guide by bus to get back to the inner city center to Mont Blanc Square, passing the Mont Blanc Bridge. From there, only footsteps away, you have a beautiful view of the lake, the city and the mountains surrounding Geneva. You will arrive another famous Geneva landmark, the water fountain, or 'jet d'eau'. Your tourguide will explain you how it was used when built in 1886.

Your tour continues through the Mont Blanc street and you will get into the old part of Geneva, finally arriving at St. Pierre cathedral. The cathedral is one of the adopted churches by John Calvin during the protestant reformation.

After a short ride by tram, you will get off at "Plainpalais", the former municipality of the canton of Geneva. Next to it, your guide will lead you to the kings cemetery, one of the most exclusive resting places for magistrates and distinguished personalities. Here you will find the grave of John Calvin.

After the visit, your guide will lead you back to the train station or to your hotel, where the tour ends.
