Full description
Hear the most interesting stories about Malbork Castle from a qualified guide on this 5-hour tour. Explore the 14th-century Palace of the Grand Master, which at one time was the residence of the so-called Grand Master of the Teutonic Order. In 1274, over 40 years after the Prussian conquests, the Teutonic Order started building Malbork Castle. Gradually, it became the most important edifice for the Teutonic Knights. It was the Teutonic Master’s headquarters and the capital of the entire Teutonic State.

Visit Saint Mary’s Church, the huge Amber Museum and the castle’s various permanent and temporary exhibitions, like the collection of weaponry, armor and flags. Take in stunning views of and around Malbork Castle, situated by the River Nogat. Currently considered as one of the biggest gothic fortresses in Europe, it is an impressive example of medieval defense architecture. In 1997, it was entered on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list, and it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and significant monuments in Poland.
