Full description
The tour starts with pickup from your accommodation in either Funchal or Caniço. After pickup, head toward’s one of Madeira’s most famous icons, the King Christ statue, the first statue of its kind in the world. Next, visit Camacha, a parish with the nickname “The Land of the Wicker”, and marvel at the fascinating furniture and baskets made from wicker using traditional techniques.

Continue on to Pico do Areeiro next to admire the breathtaking views of the Madeira mountains. Take some time to appreciate this stunning landscape and snap some photos for your holiday album. Next, head down to Ribeiro Frio and watch the fishermen farming for trout, or opt to take a walking tour in the island’s famous Levadas.

Next, travel to some of Eastern Madeira’s most precious viewpoints, São Roque do Faial and Portela, and then visit the Santo da Serra Park to admire more landscapes across the northeast. The last stop of the trip is a visit to the city of Santa Cruz, also known as the “Door of Madeira”.
