What people are saying about Friedrichstraße

Very recommendable and very good value for the money

We booked a sightseeing tour in a classic VW bus without knowing what to expect. I already have to say that we highly will recommend this tour. The VW bus was extremely well maintained and in many ways it looked brand new. It was a pleasure to drive in the VW bus which also did draw a lot of attention while we were driving the streets of Berlin. The bus has 6 seats. We were a group of 4 so we had a lot of space! The driver, who was originally from east Berlin, had a very very good knowledge not only about the historic sights and buildings in the city but also about the life, way of living now and before and off course the history of the city. He gave us a lot of valuable information which was a lot more personal than what you get if you are going on one of the traditional hop-on-off busses. We like very much beer and he even made an extension to the tour to show us one of the interesting local breweries in Berlin. We will highly recommend to take such a sightseeing tour in Berlin.

Good time but questionable value for money

Our guide was late. So all positives after that are sadly tarnished. A shame he was friendly knowledgeable chap. Could answer all our queries and teach us all about the brewing process etc. Had a laugh with us all and everyone enjoyed themselves. But he was still late and didn’t seem too fussed about it. Could I have made myself a wee map and done it myself and asked in a quiet brewpub if we could see their equipment? Probably. Could the barman/brewer have told us some of what we didn’t know? Probably. Also we were told to have travel passes at 7 euros each before the tour....we didn’t need them as we walked. That would be a pointless 63 euro expenditure. So.... breaking down the cost of about 34 pounds per person. We got 3 beers. These were priced at 3-4 euros. So that leaves a minimum of 22 euros each. There were 9 of us so that makes 198 euros for less than 3 hours work for the guide? Value for money? Nowhere near it. Did we enjoy ourselves. Yes.

Beautiful time in a rich local experience

My local tour guide was an Italian resident in Berlin named Anna. Anna was allocated to me based on my preferences through pre-planning emails. I met my local guide at the lobby of my hotel, we had a quick overview and 8 hour later I was a local "Berliner" one can say. Anna was very sincere, knowledgeable and knew Berlin by heart. She informed me of things about the city and her experience with Berlin that I believe tour guides will not pull off. We walked from the East to the West of Berlin, had a boat tour, visited the local market, the main tourist attractions, jumped on metros as well. It was really a perfect experience. I highly recommend asking for Anna, as she really brings the fun to the tour but a bit of advice: wear good shoes as there will be LOTS of walking.

The only way to experience the entire city of Berlin!

We can not recommend this guided tour enough! It was an incredible experience and without a shadow of a doubt, the best way to soak up all of the sights within this beautiful city. Our tour guide Karsten was so knowledgable and knew Berlin inside out & backwards. He took us across the whole city from the East to the West and down back streets that we would never have found on our own and gave us a fascinating history lesson. Thank you Karsten for making our trip to Berlin so memorable

Small group / almost private tour in classic old timer

Ok, you might have not always the open views if you choose to take a tour on a modern double decker bus, but then you will miss the charme of cruising Berlin in a vintage car (people on the streets will actually take photo’s of you), Also worthwhile to mention is the proud owner of the car and very enthousiastic and knowledgeable guide/driver. Can’t be beaten by an audio guide. If you like a very personal approach and love vintage cars, this tour is a must.
