V good: A spirited, highly informative (and FUN) guided tour.

Preparation for the tour: v good as we received all necessary information regarding the meeting point very swiftly even though we booked less than 24 hours before. The meeting place was easy to find as was the guide. We waited 10 minutes for the tardies and then started promptly. The guide fast-tracked us through the security points. The tour of the ancient urban cultural monolith (and temple to cruelty as spectacle, at least from a modern point of view) was highly informative and the guide (Helena if I recall well) was authoritative and charming. A highlight of the Roman experience. Let your imagination run with the guide and you will be taken to the cross-over point when extreme barbarity started to be boiled down and gradually reduced to an extremely rich and culturally supreme civilisation. Entrancing. The walk from The Colloseum to the Pantheon was a great time to see old ruins and Mussolini's 'work'. The Pantheon is exquisitely stunning and once again Helena very helpful.

Overall, it was excellent, very much to-the-point, relaIng and useful!

I was lucky enough to be the only one who had booked it on that particular day and got a private tour. The tour guide was excellent, very attentive and considerate. Of course, it was private tour but I think that more people would've made a difference. I got a better sense of the city and the information provided throughout the tour was helpful and to-the-point, making it easy for me to remember most of it despite the fact that it included many tourist attractions with many artistic and historical details.

Great way to be introduced to Rome with so much to do and see

We thoroughly enjoyed this trip as it covers quite a few of the 'must see' sites in Rome. Very informative and the guide was passionate about his tour and very keen to share his knowledge with us. Covered quite a lot of ground and it was manageable if you know where you going which was the case with our guide, Alessandro. We were small group and could huddle around quite easily listening to guide and walk around the busy city with ease and not waste time rounding group up.

An Adventure as well as Sight Sightseeing

This is the first time I have done anything like this. We had a driver and a guide and the driver's son. They were all attentive and looked after us well. We went to places we had not seen on our day tour. We stopped a number of times for a closer look at numerous places. Also gave us an opportunity to see so many places flood lit after dark. It was money well spent. I recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.

Fascinating tour with very knowledgeable guide.

The tour was a great way to get an in depth view of the ancient parts of Rome. The group size was very small (only 4 people) and this meant the guide could provide a very personal tour, and was able to give a very detailed insight into the Colosseum and Forum from her background as an archaeologist.
