Full description
After meeting the assistant at Termini Station in Rome, you'll travel to Florence alone by high-speed train. Upon arrival, an expert local guide will take you on a small-group walking tour of the most beautiful squares and monuments of Florence - the cradle of the Renaissance.

Your first stop will be the elegant Piazza della Repubblica, where the most elegant cafes of the city are. Next stops include Loggia del Mercato Nuovo and its famous leather market, and Ponte Vecchio - a true icon of the city. Then you'll stop by Piazza della Signoria, an authentic open-air museum dominated by the imposing Palazzo Vecchio and magnificent Loggia dei Lanzi.

You'll then arrive at San Giovanni Square, home of the Duomo and Brunelleschi’s Dome, as well as the Baptistery and Giotto's belfry.

In the afternoon your guide will take you to the Accademia Gallery, which has treasured Michelangelo’s David over the centuries. You guide will reveal the secrets of this incredible museum and of the creation of Michelangelo’s world-renowned masterpieces including the original version of David, I Prigioni, and San Matteo. Discover that he was not only a sculptor but also a painter, an architect, and a sensitive poet. At the end of the tour you feel free to browse the museum further.
