Best day with the best guide!!! MUST DO in Bali :)

It was such a beautiful day with so many impressions! My driver and guide Erick was the best I could ever ask for. He did not only show me the sights that are described in the Tour plan, but also brought me to Bali swing, where I stayed for 3 hours, than showed me where the famous luwak coffee is made (including a great tasting of different Teas, cooffees and cacao) and brought me to a carving! We did not only spend 8 hours like it's said in the description, but almost 12 hours!!!! Because I'm travelling alone he always made beautiful photos of me and also had many ideas where he could make more interesting pictures of me. This is so fantastic, especially when you don't have anybody else on your side to do that :) I gave 5 stars and if I could, I could give 100 stars as well! He has so much knowledge and explained everything so well to me, that after one day I got the feeling to know now everything about the balinese culture and habits. Fanrastic Tour and even more fantastic guide!

A whirlwind of excitement and dangers, thrill seekers only

What an amazing experience!! We were not expecting this! Such good value for money. The canyon was beautiful and our guide was extremely helpful/ lovely. We are two young girls who are physically fit but there were some elements of this trek that were very hard and would advise only physically able/ strong people to do this trip. Some of the rock edges were very narrow and slippery... would be good if you were an experienced rock climber! Our guide was helpful; however he had 4 people to help cross the rocks so sometimes we were left to do our own footing which was scary at times! My friend fell on the slippery rocks, she was ok, the guide helped but if you have a serious fall, there is no way out other than the climb back, however, our guide was attentive and gave my friend antiseptic cream for her cut. It’s a must do for people with the energy! we did thoroughly enjoyed it, just be prepared and wear sea shoes... we were bare feet and the stones hurt! Enjoy

The Hidden Canyon was one of the best experiences I have ever had.

The Hidden Canyon was great, but in hindsight, I am glad we did not have any small children with us. I was wonderful to be in an uncrowded part of Bali and to challenge yourself to traversing the canyon in the water. It would have been good to bring reef shoes and a surfing outfit, but it was not clear to me from the description that we would be climbing, walking and swimming in the river for about 2 hours. The guide was great, he took really good care of us, and made sure we were safe, even though it really was dangerous, especially balancing across the top of the waterfall over slippery stones at the very end (a rope may help...). The waterfall as the next stop was a complete shock with the masses of tourists, and we did not enjoy that. Lunch was very good and peaceful near the rice terraces. The 2 temples at the end were beautiful and not at all overrun, located in spectacular locations. Overall a very enjoyable day (and very sore the next day).

Overall fantastic except from the shaman

The shaman is a bit grumpy and spends 10min mumbling words to you and asking you 1 question, and he did it twice and the repeated his advise to me. It was so made up by my fantastic driver Agung. He knows everything about Bali, the history, tradition, you can ask him anything. His English is superb, he’s funny and charismatic. I asked to go for suckling pig for lunch and he took me without any question. As a solo female traveller I’ve had a lot of trouble but with Agung it was easy, he was always there by my side, I had no hassles with shopping when he was there as he would speak to the locals. He also took me to a butterfly farm as I asked if he could please take me. This man is the best driver I’ve had and I’ve been coming to Bali for 5 years and had many drivers.

Such a lovely day and our guide was awesome

We had the pleasure of seeing the waterfall, elephant cave and Tirta empul with Margon! He was so professional, right on time, waiting at us in the lobby at pick up time. Since we had already visited the rice terrace we asked if it was possible to do something else and if he had any recommendations. So instead, we went to a butterfly park and what an experience! We absolutely loved it! Margon was just so friendly and knew so much about Bali, we got a lot of stories and it was awesome! At the Tirta Empul he knew just about everything and helped us with the sarongs and the swim in the holy spring. I hope for everyone that books this trip that they get Margon as their guide.
