What people are saying about Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum
Such a great tour!!! Miki, our guide, was wonderful and cute. The other locations we visited were amazing and our lunch buffet was more incredible than I could have imagined. The pricetag is a bit pricey, especially considering most of us probably bought it because we missed opportunities to go to the museum itself, but it was well worth it in the end. It's nice to learn facts on the way to the locations and have reliable transportation. If you have the extra pocket money and missed your chance to go grab tickets... I recommend this tour! The other locations are just as fun. It's a nice day out in a quieter part of Japan.
My family loves it so much. We enjoyed every detailed of the tour, from the main entrance to everything. Even though there's a lot of people inside, and the theatre show was full-house, we were able to enjoy everything. The tour guide explains a lot to us inside the bus. She's the best tour guide in this tour. She makes the crowd part of the discussion by asking and sharing a lot about Ghibli tour.
While pricey, our visit to Ghibli was both time and money well spent. Our guide, Micky, was excellent. She educated us on the museum itself as well as Miyazaki himself. We would definitely recommend to any family with teenagers who has seen Spirited Away, the movie” and has an interest in animation.
Our guide was great, the hotel was stunning and the Open Air Architectural Museum educational, and the Ghibli Museum was a treat! Totally worth it, esp. as I was able to get in to the Ghibli Museum on the tour when the tickets for the month had otherwise sold out.
You can actually get into the Ghibli museum on short notice by taking this tour. The lunch venue was good and a neat location, and the stop in between was a cool spot I wouldn't have thought to go to as is is pretty out of the way.
