Explore the Scottish Country Side. Travel to Craigmillar Castle, also Edinburgh's 'other castle', standing a mile outside of the old city walls, this castle provides a retreat from the bustle of Scotland's capital. Explore the dark passageways and learn about the clever architectural design that repels attack. Then from the dungeons, climb to the top tower house and see the stunning views.
Along the journey, you will take a moment to see the views from Scott's View, nominated the best view in Britain. Before moving on to Melrose where you can explore the town. Visiting the Melrose Abbey, for the burial of Robert the Bruce's heart is buried within, Scotland's famous liberator. Visit the Roman Heritage Centre, as Melrose as the largest Roman camp in Scotland. 
The final stop for the day is Rosslyn Chapel, a beautifully decorated building. The Chapel features hundreds of 'green men' carved into stone and an 'apprentice pillar' with a dark history. Hear about the Freemasonry, the Knights Templar, the Holy Grail, Solomon, Babylon and much more. If you view the Chapel quickly, a ten minute walk down the road is the Rosslyn Castle to visit, or spot the sites the film The Da Vinci Code used.
