What people are saying about Edinburgh

Full of interest, well organised and great for families.

We went here with our sons aged 16, 13, 11, and everyone really enjoyed this tour under the streets of Edinburgh. The guide was fun and enthusiastic and painted a vivid picture of life in ancient Edinburgh, warts and all! For me the highlight was the actual Mary King’s Close itself which was well enough preserved to be able to imagine it as one of Edinburgh’s main streets with bustling market and busy homes and businesses. The tour lasted about an hour and wasn’t cheap, but the guide was great and there was lots to see and learn so I would certainly recommend this tour to others.

Ohhh my god, this is a must visit if you are in Edinburgh

Camera Obscura is a must visit if you are in old Edinburgh. Just walking distance from Edinburgh Castle. This building is over 5 floors and every floor is very unique and funny. We loved the Mirror Maze, farting chair and big size mirror. My wife truly enjoyed her day out. The final floor shows the Camera Obscura Show done by Lizzie was amazing. She was very funny and accommodating. She went in details about the camera Obscura invention and showed us around Edinburgh. Overall absolutely lovely.

Step back in time and be shocked by this glimpse into history.

One of the highlights of 5 days in Edinburgh. Stepping into Mary King’s world was interesting and educational. Until this tour, I used to think how amazing it would be to go back in time and see what life was like. This tour cures that desire through vivid descriptions of what you would really be stepping into if you lived in Edinburgh 300-400 years ago.

A fun, ‘eye-opening’ exhibition and a different view of a great city

A great way to spend a couple of hours and great views and insights into beautiful Edinburgh. Lots of family fun and a few giggles. Good luck to anyone who ventures through the tunnel - you’ll see what I mean... I was laughing and almost crying at the same time!!

A fun afternoon enjoying all sorts of illusions

Many thanks to Jamie for his excellent show at the Camera Obscura. My daughter and I enjoyed seeing and experiencing all the activities. Great value as our entrance fee allowed us to visit multiply times during the day.
