Really enjoyed the tour, lots of interesting information about JK Rowling, her life and her inspiration for the Harry Potter books. Tour guide kept a good pace, but was mindful of those who struggled with hills and took breaks along the way to chat about the city. At first he came across as though he wasn’t a Harry Potter fan at all, so we felt quite dubious at the start of the tour, but after a while he demonstrated some real knowledge of the books - not sure if that was down to genuine passion, or just learning a script, but we found it enjoyable and informative anyway!

Myself and Louise went on the guided tour on Sunday 26th January. The tour provided a nice mix of how J.K.Rowling came to find characters within Edinburgh and a few surprising facts about J.K.Rowling herself. There were also some interesting historical facts pointed out too. 'Australian' David was very knowledgable and enthusiastic. He obviously sees the guide as more than a job. Myself and Louise got to speak to him along the way and he was a very pleasant chap.

Really well informed guide. She had a huge array of international translations and ways to interpret meanings of the tour for all tourists. Despite us taking the tour on a cold and wet January late afternoon into evening and finishing in an absolute torrential rainstorm it was a great experience for our family. Very inclusive and attentive tour guide covered all age ranges (our 12 & 14 year old were the youngest but perhaps the most included!).
