What people are saying about Eastern Switzerland
The tour itself is extremely interesting with our great guide sharing some insights on Swiss culture, language and history. On the way to the Rhine Falls we got to pass through the Swiss country side and see some extraordinary traditional and very well kept half-timbered houses. When on the Rheinfall itself, I strongly suggest you take the boat tour (8CHF at the time I went) and climb the rock that stands right in the middle of the falls. It is an impressive sight! (And makes amazing photos...) You can get the ticket for the boat inside the bus, which I suggest to avoid the queues at the ticket shop. The only downside is that I would have enjoyed spending a little bit longer at the falls to properly explore the surroundings. Really nice area and experience overall!
I wish I we had more time there but still we enjoyed guide was very informative and knowledgeable. They have 2 pickup locations 1st I guess central other is airport I wish they had an option to select meeting point when purchasing tour on their website and it's confirmation on the ticket of the tour which makes tourists more confident that they will be picked up from right location although they clearly mentioned meeting points but I had bit confusion about getting picked up from the airport but I must say I was picked up from the airport on time although we were the only tourists to be picked up from airport location that day. Overall I'm happy will use them again and recommend this service to anyone visiting Switzerland.
I enjoyed the Falls...they are spectacular from the boat. Our Guide was organized and interesting. I wish we had heard more from her. The Tour does not allow enough time, or at least on the day I went, to see the castle, or the trails around the Rheinfall. We did have 10 minutes in the gift shop, and time to visit the WC as necessary. And, the Coachbus was very comfortable, even after having flown the red-eye to Zurich.
We enjoyed the easy 3.5 hour tour, including the added boat ride into the falls area (worth the extra 10f per person). Michele (not sure if I have spelling right) was a great guide and bounced between English and Italian to meet the group needs. Good coverage of Zurich, Switzerland, and the Falls. Well managed and hit our timeline desires to get back for our own self-guided walking tour of the city.
A lot of steps. A real challenge for my elderly mother. Lift not working and no real options to get down or back. She managed with support and was glad she did
