Oslo Fjords 3-Hour Evening Buffet Cruise
- Duration: 3 hours
I enjoyed this trip a lot. It was a beautiful summer's evening and taking the cruise was a relaxing way to spend pass the time. The boat is very nice and the staff are welcoming and helpful. The food is plentiful and whilst not exactly haute cuisine is quite acceptable (so long as you like prawns!). For the price, it's good value for money considering the cost of most things in Oslo. I have only two complaints really - the muzak was inappropriate and the presence of people smoking was hugely annoying. The fjord is enough for the senses without pop music and given the packing density on the boat it should be non-smoking - esp over dinner.
Great excursion on a beautiful boat! The boat tour was not too long and not too short. Shrimp buffet was good, even though it was wasted on my wife and kids who don't like shrimp. Norwegians are always prepared for cold weather. The boat is stocked with blankets for the guests, and after an hour we needed them because we didn't bring jackets. They also served hot chocolate, along with beer and wine. Opportunity to talk to other people or keep to yourself. Highly recommended.
We are usually sceptical about tourist traps but this cruise has well exceeded our expectations. We were fortunate to have good weather, the cruise around the fjord waterways at sunset was amazing, and finally the shrimp buffet was so fresh and tasty. Excellent way to end our last day in Oslo.
The cruise was well organized and the scenery breathtaking. It was not our idea of a traditional buffet as only bread, shrimp, and lettuce are served! However, peeling the small prawns (they were delicious and plentiful) was a lot of fun and we supplemented with snacks and wine.
That was a nice trip. Beautiful view, I have watched the moon appear and thats was great. Nice shrimps and crabs, and if you’re ready to pay some more you can have wine or beer on the boat. If it’s getting cold you can go downstairs of the boat to the food court.
