Full description
Spend the day in the magnificent landscapes of Litchfield National Park on a full-day sightseeing tour from Darwin. Following a pick-up from your accommodation at approximately 07:00, travel towards Litchfield National Park, named after the Northern Territory pioneer Frederick Henry Litchfield.

Admire the natural phenomena of the Magnetic and Cathedral Termite Mounds. Built by termites, the amazing mounds are formed of arches, tunnels, and chimneys, and can stand as high as 6 meters tall. Enjoy close-up views of the insect habitats and amazing feat of nature.

Once inside the park, go to some of the waterfalls and spring-fed streams. Journey through rugged sandstone escarpments. Swim and hike around the double-plunge waterfall of Florence Fall. If weather permits, go to Wangi Falls, a segmented waterfall on Wangi Creek. Note that Wangi Falls can close during the tropical wet season and will be substituted during this time.

Enjoy a tasty barbecue lunch inside the park and discover the many rock holes and cascades of Buley Rockhole. Then transfer back to Darwin for an early evening drop off at your accommodation.

Itinerary beforehand would be helpful - there was more opportunity to change into bathers that would have suited a senior traveler than we wore told! . I missed out on a swim in a beautiful spot as I'm not comfortable in swimming gear for long time, there were toilets close to swim spots!

The tour bus was very cramped especially second seat from the back where a large person would have found it impossible to sit. Also, when I booked the tickets from my home town, Perth, I was charged an international transfer fee of over $7, this for a trip within Australia. Could you please rectify this as this will put off local Australians using your service. Although the bank did pay back the money when I complained, you should never have made the charge in the first place, and you should have paid it back to me, not the bank.

Candice was very organised and high on safety. She’s knowledgeable on Australian bush . The food could have been better for example we could have been offered to taste meat like kangaroo, crocodile, water buffalo t- aboriginal food.
