Vidokrug's Private Sarajevo Tour Guided by Besam is My New Favorite

Vidokrug's Private Tour of Sarajevo and Mostar includes a great itinerary and Besam, my tour guide, made it a wonderful experience. Despite my booking the tour the night before, Besam arrived promptly and cheerfully at 6 am, which made it pleasant from start. Besam, whose English is perfect, conveyed a great deal of fascinating information as part of a conversation rather than a lecture. He convinced me to climb to top of the mosque in Mostar by persuading me that the view was worth overcoming my fear of heights and reassuring me that he would help me do it. A local guide lead an amazing tour of Sarajevo, including the Tunnel of Hope, the 1984 Winter Olympics sites, and the bridge where the Archduke's assassination sparked WWI. After a delicious and authentic dinner, we had a pleasant discussion while Besam expertly drove the curvy route home. At the end, I felt like I was saying good-bye to a friend. I plan to take Vidokrug's private 2-day Albania tour guided by Besam.

Beautiful tour, but wish Croatian guide was better

PROS: - The pickup was on time and the coach was comfortable. Our local Montenegrin guide Slavica was excellent; she was extremely knowledgeable, and explained everything patiently and thoroughly at Our Lady of the Rocks and Kotor. - The sights were beautiful; the scenery in Montenegro is unlike any we've seen. CONS: - Our Croatian tour guide (who was in charge while we were inside the coach) Marinara was constantly on edge and rushed, and did not allow us to have a relaxed tour at all. She was very loudly chatting with the coach driver constantly—literally NON-STOP throughout the several hours we spent in the coach, both to and from—and this made it impossible for any of us to relax and enjoy. On the way back, everyone was tired and wanted to take a nap before we reached Dubrovnik, but Marinara's incessant loud talking made that impossible. Also, whenever we asked her for any information, she did not reply properly. - The coach driver didn't drive smoothly at all.

Montenegro was beautiful - minivan not so

We visited Budva, Kotor and Perast all of which were beautiful and travel worthy destinations. It was a door to door service, picked up (7.15am) and dropped off (8.30pm) at our hotel. Lydia our guide was delightful and very knowledgeable and informative with the right balance of quiet periods. Her restaurant recommendation in Budva was not good (sorry Lydia) - whilst the staff were lovely, the food was not. It was a very hot day and the aircon was practically non-existent. It seemed to be retro fitted and consisted of ugly pipes visible through a hole in the panel above your head which wasnt ideal but would have been OK if effective. All in all a lovely day out in a breathtakingly beautiful country. Only downsides were air con and that the journey to first destination Budva was 4 hours!

Lidija made the day amazing, & Montenegro was stunning!

Lidija was honestly such a lovely guide, she seemed to really care that everyone had a good time. Because of a cruise ship schedules, they flipped our itinerary so we’d see Budva, Kotor, then have the boat to Our Lady of the Rocks. Worked out perfectly- 2 hrs free time in Budva led to some swimming and exploring, then we had enough time to see Kotor and grab a quick meal. Our Lady of the Rocks was quite unique, well worth the €6. It would have been a good day regardless but Lidija made it great with her added knowledge and friendly nature. Would definitely recommend her, and the tour. Only negative was that I had to call SuperTours to confirm pick up (which was a lot earlier than listed so I’m glad I did!)

Awesome trip to Montenegro. Highly recommended!

I booked the tour a few days in advance. Everything was confirmed quickly. Bus pick up was on time at 7:20 am. Very warm welcome by our supernice guide Lidija. She made this tour unforgettable. In a brilliant english she explained everything in an smart and also entertaining way. Perast was breathtakingly beautiful. Kotor awesome!!! I did not become a big fan of Budva though, but glad I had the chance to find out. Everything worked on time. With lots of luck we had not much waiting time at the boarder. I even have to thank the rest of the group. Everyone was so nice. So by the end of the day, new friends were made. We made it back to Dubrovnik around 8:30 pm. I highly recommend this daytrip.
