Vidokrug's Private Sarajevo Tour Guided by Besam is My New Favorite

Vidokrug's Private Tour of Sarajevo and Mostar includes a great itinerary and Besam, my tour guide, made it a wonderful experience. Despite my booking the tour the night before, Besam arrived promptly and cheerfully at 6 am, which made it pleasant from start. Besam, whose English is perfect, conveyed a great deal of fascinating information as part of a conversation rather than a lecture. He convinced me to climb to top of the mosque in Mostar by persuading me that the view was worth overcoming my fear of heights and reassuring me that he would help me do it. A local guide lead an amazing tour of Sarajevo, including the Tunnel of Hope, the 1984 Winter Olympics sites, and the bridge where the Archduke's assassination sparked WWI. After a delicious and authentic dinner, we had a pleasant discussion while Besam expertly drove the curvy route home. At the end, I felt like I was saying good-bye to a friend. I plan to take Vidokrug's private 2-day Albania tour guided by Besam.

Delivered as promised, no unscheduled stops and exactly as described

An almost brand new luxurious Mercedes minibus, fully air conditioned and very comfortable. Technical problem with the sliding door which was nobody's fault other than Mercedes! - a typical teething problem with any new car which did mean we were collected a little bit later than scheduled but the back office kept us informed via mobile so we were not worried. The smaller vehicle allowed a more rapid border crossing into Montenegro from Croatia. Whilst Montenegro's currency is Euro it is not yet in EU. We were lucky as Kotor did not have any cruise ships in the day we went and also it was a Sunday so there were less locals around. We also went out on a ferry to the Lady of the Rocks Church at Persat on our way back, which was well worth the visit. All in all, a great trip, great value, with a great guide/driver. He looked out for us constantly and was very informative, with very good English. Would highly recommend if you have a reasonably long stay over in Dubrovnik.

Best of Montenegro: Kotor Bay Tour from Dubrovnik Reviewed by Michael Thomas, 19/07/2019

The guide (Igor) and the bus driver were very friendly and competent.

Igor is a wonderful guide. He knows a lot of history, was very friendly and speaks English very well. He had great tips for what you can do in Dubrovnik. I.e. he recommended a wonderful beach near to the old town. On the return he gave great tips for visiting Trogir and another places in Croatia. I enjoyed it.

Dubrovnik Day Tour from Split or Trogir Reviewed by Patrick, 04/09/2019

Very good tour, but it should be longer.

This tour is a very good option if you have a tight schedule. It gives a good overall explanation about the palace but I would have loved it to have a longer version including the Cathedral and Jupiter’s temple. Our tour guide was great though. She was fun and had very good knowledge.

Deep dive into history of Split and Diocletian

Anna our guide is very friendly and informative. She showed us not only the history of Diocletian but also about the port and its current status. She also pointed us to local taverns and Marian Hill for a good viewpoint of entire Split palace.
