Full description
Your tour departs form Edinburgh and heads out to the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond to Luss for a short stop and then over the "Rest and Be Thankful" to Inveraray and its fairy-tale castle. There will be short stop in Oban where you will have time to visit the distillery or climb to McCaig’s Tower overlooking the bay. Then, board the ferry to Mull and your home for the next 2 nights in Tobermory.

On day 2 you'll drive the length of the island of Mull to the small port of Fionnphort for the foot passenger ferry to Iona. There will be time to visit Iona Abbey and Nunnery, founded by St Columba in 563. As you return to Mull keep your eyes open for wildlife such as seals, otters and, if you are really lucky, sea eagles.

You'll head back to the mainland on day 3 and on to the remote Ardgour Peninsula through Glen Geal and lochs Sunart and Linnhe. Then take a short ferry crossing at Corran and into Glen Coe. Hear the stories of the massacre which took place in 1692 and then join another group of fellow travellers to continue on through Fort William, nestling under Ben Nevis. You'll overnight on the bank of Loch Ness at Fort Augustus.

On the last day of your tour, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a visit to Urquhart Castle and a cruise on Loch Ness. Then continue on through Inverness, the capital of the Highlands to Culloden Battlefield, the last stand of the Jacobite Army. At the end of your tour, you'll return to Edinburgh. Throughout the tour, there will be plenty of time for photographs.
