What people are saying about Cu Chi Tunnels

Friendly and informative guide and interesting 'museum'

Most of the tour is above ground through the jungle, with effective reproductions of living conditions and masses of information and stats about the war years and how the Vietnamese functioned and fought in the tunnels. It focuses on their resilience and resourcefulness, though there are stark reminders of the gruesomeness of this particular war. Visitors have an opportunity to go in to a small section of the tunnels to get an enhanced sense of how it would have felt to live in these conditions. Our guide Steven was knowledgeable, friendly and well organised keeping our small group of mixed ages and nationality together. He reminded us there were 'no winners' in this war - which is one of the main things I took away, although the propaganda film suggests different. I recommend for a different, immersive way of learning about the Vietnam war.

Amazing experience - would highly recommend!

The tour was absolutely amazing. We had a fantastic tour guide who was really knowledgeable in the history, culture and background of the sites we visited. She was constantly giving us information and fun facts as we were going through the tour and continuously checked in that we were all comfortable. Cu Chi was an eye-opening experience - definitely recommend going through the tunnels with the local guide as it completely changes your perspective of what the Vietnamese went through during the Vietnamese/2nd Info-China war. The visit to the Mekong Delta was also really enjoyable, with a variety of sights and stops involved. Massive plus from my side was that I forgot my sunglasses on the tour bus and was able to pick them up first thing in the morning the following day before heading to the airport! Really good service.

Day was well balanced, good pace / energy and informative. Great fun!

Steven was our host and tour guide for the day. He was brilliant, had a great energy and while he had to remain focussed to keep the day on track, he was also relaxed and able to have some fun and chat with all of us. He was very professional, he did the tour company proud and gave it a good name. On this basis we would recommend the company and day tour! Some times these days can loose energy, especially towards the end, but Steven kept us informed about what's coming next so we could keep looking forward and he was full of information throughout the day. He had an entertaining way that kept they day light and fun too. And between Steven and the driver they always made sure we had refreshments etc.

Great tour by an excellent guide called Van and our driver An.

We booked this tour very last-minute becauae it worked out cheaper than a grab to/from Cu Chi, and were weren't sure what to expect. Extreme last minute booking was no problem and we were picked up from our hotel the following morning. Our guide, Van, was excellent and our driver, An, was great too. We learned a lot about the American invasion of Vietnam, and the lengths that the Vietnamese people went to to survive and overcome the occupation. Only a half day tour too, so it leaves the rest of the day to sightsee around Saigon.

A greater understanding of what the people went through.

The first stop is a warehouse filled with amazing art work by the people affected by Agent Orange. This is a great opportunity to buy a gift and have it shipped home, i did. The Tunnels are very tight for anyone of a larger size like me but the others in the group could go down the reproduced tunnels for tourists. The tunnels we as tourists see are not the same as the locals view. Theres are further away. A very humbling and upsetting day but well worth the trip.
