What people are saying about Costa Brava

Great outing affected by weather -- out of guide's control!

I highly recommend this excursion to anyone interested in casual kayaking and snorkelling. We had opted to stay in Plaja San Pol, so met the rest of the group when they arrived from Barcelona. The communication arranging this in advance was excellent; very easily arranged. Guide was extremely friendly and upbeat. After we got to the first spot to cliff-jump (terrific), weather turned and had to head back. EXTREMELY rare t-storm cut the trip short and eliminated the snorkelling. However, were given a VERY generous refund, so zero complaints, considering this was out of the company's hands. Guides maintained a very positive attitude while making lunch in the rain. Ride back to Barcelona on coach was very comfortable. My only suggestion would be to try to break up the kayakers by skill-level. I would have enjoyed it more if we could have paddled just slightly more intensely. Lots of time to do this on bus from Barcelona to the coast. Excellent excursion!

A terrific way to spend a day seeing sites outside Barcelona

On our second short visit to Barcelona, we decided to take a tour outside the City to see Girona and the Costa Bravo. This very small group tour (we had a total of 8) was terrific. Our guide, Arnaud, was informative, has a great sense of humor and is extremely well spoken about the history of Girona, Pals and the beach areas. The sights chosen for particular attentioin gave us an excellent flavor of the culture and architecture at all three stops. Two words of advice; first, the drives to Girona and from Costa Brava are 1.5 to 2 hours in duration, mostly on highways. Second, in Girona and Pals there is a lot of walking up steps and relatively long inclines, so this tour will test your aerobic level. We highly recommend this tour as an excellent supplement to your visit to Barcelona proper.

Well-presented History of Girona, Pals and Costa Brava!

Our guide, a local Catalan, Vicente, provided detailed, clear and interesting historical information about Girona, Pals and Costa Brava's traditional village, Caella. He was also very flexible to accommodate my husband's limited mobility by giving us the free time to explore Girona's famous landmark (church) where scenes from "The Games of Thrones" were filmed. Vicente's great sense of humor really made this tour superb! Our driver, Joaquin, was very cautious and made us all feel safe. I will definitely recommend this day excursion to my relatives and friends! Kudos to the duo, Vicente and Joaquin!

This was a terrific family day with Elena!

We booked this tour a couple weeks in advance for our family - all 8 of us, in varying ages. It was a beautiful day - a little windy - but we had a great time, accompanied by Elena on this amazing kayak tour of Costa Brava. The scenery was beautiful, and the day was a holiday Sant Joan. So we were grateful for the kind staff spending the day with us. Elena taught us how to kayak and navigate in the strong winds. SHe told us stories of the area and what to expect from the holiday of Sant Joan as well. It was a completely enjoyable experience, that we won't soon forget.

Great day exploring Costa Brava coast- by kayak!

A well-organized day out to the beautiful Costa Brava, just over an hour north if Barcelona by bus. Groups of no more than 12 head out in double kayaks to explore the gorgeous rock coves and crystal clear waters right off the beach. A fantastic day out and the guides make the whole experience really accessible--and they take lots of fotos so you don't have to worry about your camera/phone getting wet.
