Beautiful building, paintings & rooms exquisite, but a lot of stairs.

Everything went well, walked around on our own, loved the old paintings, lots of rooms to go through, including the armoury. The information signs were good, except for one item. The black funeral Gondola in the main square, nothing at all about this. Prison was amazing, so many corridors and cells, and of course the walk across the Bridge of Sighs. If you're not with a guided tour, you can always listen in, there's lots of them going round. All in all a good visit, well worth the money. I would advise getting a pre-paid ticket to avoid the queues, went straight in.

Visit in April to see this elegance architecture

Family tour in Venice for couple of days and this is a Must-See architecture in here. Beautiful proportions and marvellous painting in different halls. The day we went there wasn’t too busy but we skipped the queue went in the courtyard straight away. It is a nice to have with the priority tickets. I guess it would be wonderful thing to have t In the peak season.

Amazing place - but leave lots of time to see it all

Definitely worth getting a ticket in advance, would be nice if it included a commentary of some sort. Amazing place to visit and we probably didn't leave enough time to see everything. There were a lot of large tours when we visited, which can make getting round harder. Guide book was expensive at 15E. The cafe is great if you need to sit down and have a break.

Skip the long long long long long long lines

This was well worth the $. The reason is you skip the incredibly long lines out side , although when you get in they seem to have a difficult time deciding which line you are in?? The palace is so interesting and just unbelievable artwork; but I enjoyed the prison section the most, go figure.

Transportation was a breeze with city pass and skip the line

The transportation pass saves you money and time standing in line to buy tickets. If you ride a couple of times, it’s actually cheaper. The skip the line for the Doge’s Palace worked great and you truly do skip the line and go right in. Highly recommend.
