Discover the legend of King Arthur and his wife Guinevere on a 2-day sightseeing tour of Cornwall, visiting the historic castle of Tintagel, source of the fabled Arthur’s Stone. Enjoy hikes across Dartmoor and along the banks of the wild Dart River, and imagine pixies, faeries, and wizards lurking among the woodland.
Your overnight accommodation is at a local bed and breakfast, while food treats include the chance to sample a traditional Cornish pasty.
Drive from Glastonbury to Dartmoor to visit 2 parts of the wild Dart River in the remains of the ancient Dartmoor Forest. At Dartmeet there is a very old bridge made of large slabs of local stone that look megalithic.
Stop off at an old hunting lodge for lunch. Then, visit Wistmans Woods to walk among miniature oak trees and large boulders, where it’s not hard to imagine pixies and faeries hiding. Next, visit the small church of Brentor, situated on a rocky hill dedicated to St. Michael, and connected to the Michael ley line.
Start today with a tour of Tintagel. Go to King Arthur's Great Halls to meet, greet, and connect with the legendary monarch. Continue to Tintagel Castle and Merlin's Cave for a guided meditation. Savor a traditional Cornish pasty for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will walk the coastal path to Rocky Valley to sit and connect with the Bronze Age labyrinths. Continue to St. Nectan's Glen, staying until dusk to capture the mystical atmosphere. While there, join a ceremony to tune into the goddess, before walking home along the cliffs, hopefully serenaded by a wonderful sunset.
