The two available tours are okay and you can visit all the (known) POI in Porto. Buses will come every 30 minutes and that is also okay. Usually you're spending your holidays when using a service like that. So you're not in a hurry. What I didn't like was the fact that the routes and maps (and the wine tastings) offered at the website are outdated. There are no wine tastings included and the routes are different "now" (I have no idea when they changed it - even ticket information was "suprised"). The map we received at TI was from 2017. So for at least a year no one was able to "adjust" the website. To be honest this might have been the first time a website is outdated and a printed map is more up to date at a service that is mostly booked over the internet. But to get back to the positive side: Tours are interesting and informative. There are enough stops to get to the POIs. Maybe the service time in the evening could be extended. But that's just a sidenote.
Blue Dragon tours, specifically Diana our guide, was fantastic! The company was well organized and provided very nice ebike equipment. Diana was friendly, calm and patient with our family of 4, always checking to make sure we were doing well and safe in traffic. The 3hr mid-morning ride starting at 10am was perfect since we didn’t have to wake up too early with teenagers and the streets weren’t as crowded. Highly recommend this outfit and don’t forget to ask for Diana!
We enjoyed the HOHO tour very much. The buses came around on a regular basis. The seating was comfortable. The stops were appropriate and convenient. The drivers were so kind and helpful. The commentary was good. The music between commentary was appropriate and pleasant. We encountered a problem on only one bus where the audio wasn't working, but it didn't detract at all. We just looked around and enjoyed the view.
This was a lovely tour. I knew nothing about the city before my visit. I arrived by bus and metro from Galicia and went straight on the bus. I learnt so much in just one 90min period. Later I went walking around my favourite places and had a great meal. I found the local people so friendly and welcoming. This city has a lot to offer.
One of my highlights of my trip to Porto so far. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the tower and in my opinion is a must see/must do activity. Can get a bit crowded, especially on the upper part of the tower and people are not always patient enough to wait and take it in turns to ascend/descend though!
