Our experience started off a bit shakey as the booking through Get your Guide was made, paid for and accepted.. Until we got to the adventure park to find out that our reservation was not included in the days bookings, and in fact should have been cancelled. Embarrassing and concerned to say the least as we flew from Auckland just for the zip line. It was lucky that we could squeeze onto the full tour. Make sure your booking through a third party is seen and accepted by the original party.
I enjoyed all three but my favorite experience was Punting on the Avon - we had a lovely person - called Chris I think - he chatted to us all the way there and back about the Avon and telling us details about the ducks and the surroundings that were all around us - excellent ! We went on 14th Aug - 1pm I think I went with my grown-up daughter - in her thirties but this selection is not available in 'Who did you go with..... :( - so I chose 'by myself'
Pick up punctual. Our driver was awesome, felt safe and comfortable. I think that wineries should offer a small platter with tastings. Torlesse wines was the only one that offered a small bite which really made the difference. Wouldn't have a problem paying extra for this.
Tram ride is a good informative way to find out about the central city. A shame to be told you need to pay an extra $10 each to get to the gondola ride and back. We had metro cards so caught the local bus instead which was much cheaper. All in all a great day out.
The pick up was late so we were very rushed at each vineyard. The first vineyard was not a familiar route so this added to the very quick and brief visits. However the vineyards themselves were very informative and accomodating.
