Full description
After being picked up in the morning from your hotel in Chiang Mai city, you will head towards your local hiking adventure. 2 hours after beginning your ascent, you will reach Wat Doi Suthep at the 1,100 meter mark. Here you will start to traverse through highland jungle and the old Hmong Hill Tribe Village near the summit of Doi Pui which you will reach after your 3rd hour.

After a hearty lunch at the village and an approximate 1-hour climb, you will tackle the summit of Doi Pui peak. Here we get to enjoy 180 degrees views of the Mae Ping Valley.

The trip will be completed by a climb with a 30-minute downhill stroll to the Doi Pui Camp grounds ,where your ride back awaits you. You need to be in good shape to do the hiking (1500m up, 500m down, 19km length). But if you do enjoy exercising, you will enjoy the tour with great sights, steep climbs and pure nature feeling. One of our guides was a "top 40 worldwide" ultra marathon and trial champion and we enjoyed very much being in a group of 8 (including us) ambitiously hiking people.

The experience was unique! However, we almost wanted to stop because the climb was too exhausting. Sometimes we had to climb wet rock walls, the paths were all unpaved and loamy. As a well-trained competitive athlete, it should not have been a problem, but it was definitely borderline. Not recommended for inexperienced or normal-sporty people. The nature, the sounds and the view from the mountain were worth it!

Okay

A day in contact with nature. A guide in excellent physical condition, who shared his knowledge. I traveled from Colombia. I do not speak English, it is possible that this happens with some frequency. It will be interesting, do more tour in Spanish. They make it very easy for us to walk around your country.
