An excellent must try introduction in Hungarian traditional foods!!!

This experience was a gift for my wife and the best gift she receive (in her own words). She always wanted to learn how to cook gulas stew, but never quite made it at home, so we took this opportunity and we are very glad we did it. First of all, we stayed outside Budapest and Marti's husband Peter was so kind to came and pick us up from hotel (Aqua World) showing us Budapest sights until we arrived at the market. There we met Marti and were introduced in market history. We bought fresh ingredients for our dishes (we wanted hungarian fish soup, goulash stew with dumplings and apple pie) and we ate langos (also a must try experience in Hungary). After that, we went to cook!!!!! Great experience, great teacher, family made palinka :) and natural sirop (juice from fruits), Hungarian wine, and of course, great food. After the meal, Peter took us back to hotel were we relax the rest of the day. Thank you Marti and Peter, we look forward to see you again!!!!

Cruise, food, and staff were exceptional. Pickup to ship worked great

Pickup for return was NOT GOOD. There was no cabs waiting to take us back to our pickup points. There was no hostess to call for the cabs. There was a growing long line from the ship coming off waiting for the cab pickups. Fortunately, we are staying close enough by to walk and we did that because it was FAR FAR FAR TOO COLD to wait outside. It was too cold to be out walking too, but it was better than waiting for what could have been a long time with a taxi that never came. Cruise, food, and staff were exceptional. Pickup to the ship for departure worked great and right on time.

Great walking/eating/drinking tour in Budapest

Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this 4 hour tour with Barbra. It started in the Central market with a shot (medicinal we were told) of Unicom and then continued with a tour and tastes from various booths in the Central Market building. After the market we went to a chocolate shop, a local restaurant where we sampled more dishes than we could count while standing up at an outside table with the locals, followed by a coffee/dessert cafe and then finishing with a wine tasting. Warning: Do not eat before starting this tour!!!

If you only have 1 day- this is a great tour.

that was NOT A PRIVATE TOUR as advertised. It’s was 7 in our group and many more joined us on a tour. Also, thebus didn’t pick us up at the hotel, we had to walk pretty far to it’s location and get transferred to another bus for actual tour, and our tour was in 2 languages, because half of the bus was of Italians. Overall walk and transfer killed about 1 hour. Not very professional and misadvertised.

A great tour of Budapest main tourist points

The tour was great. We were picked on time from were we stayed, the tour left almost on time (one couple were late). We spent the right amount of time in each local, no rush. And we arrived on time to our parliament tour, which was very impressive.
