Must do

This tour has everything if you are a fan of the series or wish to see some beautiful architecture then this trip is for you. The trip is a full day which unfortunately passes all too quickly, now to the main character Alessio your tour guide he is knowledgeable and passionate about his subjects which are certainly wide ranging. Alessio takes time to engage with all members of his group equally you are never rushed, he drives you personally between the sights with engaging commentary, his driving is also courteous and safe which I believe would matter to certain patrons. We visited a number of various film locations and sets on the day with a choice of places to visit. I would unreservedly recommend this trip both for its content and the guide, Alessio is the first guide that I have experienced who has genuinely engaged and interacted. Of note on the day, I did not feel well at one point and Alessio took the time to source a local pharmacy for me this ensured I had a great day.

A bit of fun if you've read the books or seen the TV series

Our second tour with Alessio from Sicily Grand Tours. Several stops on this tour taking in some of the filming locations for the TV series and, for us, a chance to see a little bit of cities/towns which we wouldn't otherwise have done ourselves. Stops in Modica, Scicli and Punta Secca with a chance to have lunch at Enzo's. Thoroughly enjoyable day.

10/10 for this Montalbano tour

Our guide Alessio picked us up promptly outsidé our accomodation. He took us to Modica to see thé town and thén to thé police station in Scicli where we had a guided tour of thé boss’s room, Catarella’s and Montalbano’s offices. Thé guide was enthusiastic and welcoming. We then had lunch da Enzo where we were served by one of thé waiters in thé programme. A short walk away is Salvo’s house. Alessio is an excellent guide as we learnt much about thé région’s history, geography and culture as well as thé setting for Montalbano. We thoroughly recommend sicilygrandtour.com when booking through Getyourguide.
