A spectacularly spine chilling and informative walking tour.

This was an eye opener! Our tour guide was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining. He had a red beard and pony tail. I should have remembered his name but it’s not my strongest character trait. We walked through cemeteries and learned about some of the very unsavory practices that went on years ago. We Also learned the origins of many sayings... such as ‘A stiff drink’ and the ‘The Graveyard Shift’. We then walked uphill to a magnificent view of the city and learned about the persecution of many ‘accused’ witches. I would not have faired well having both red hair and a large birthmark on my back. A very scary thought indeed. We then saw some unfinished architecture (which I preferred that way). Our tour guide was FANTASTIC! It was a throwback of yesteryear in the Old Town of Edinburgh. I highly recommend this tour..,, just wear your walking shoes!

Amazing walking tour with enthusiastic guide

Since we were but with 4 in total, Simon - our tour guide - had oceans of time to stop and explain every bit of mystery and history surrounding the Royal Mile. We wandered around town, strolling into hidden closes and discovering curious nooks, at a relaxed pace. The guide was able to provide us with plenty information and facts about the Mile and the city of Edinburgh itself, that you immediately feel like you'd lived there yourself for some time. Pity that he had to leave us at the Palace (since no guides are allowed inside), but even there he set us on our way with the audio-guides. In all a great experience, and would definitely recommend this organisation (and this tour)!

It was extremely interesting and great fun

I would highly recommend this tour, our guide was so friendly, introduced herself to every small group of people asking where they were from and if they were having a lovely holiday, which I thought was a lovely touch. Stephanie was a great story teller and made the whole tour fun and fascinating. We did the 8.30pm tour which added a little more atmosphere to it.

What a great way to spend our last night in Edinburgh!

We were lucky enough to have a clear night and perfect...if cold...weather for this wonderfully entertaining night time walk on the dark side of Edinburgh. Especially enjoyed the view over the city from the top of Calton Hill. Our guide, Keith, was funny and knowledgeable

Very entertaining walk through Edinburgh’s past

We had great fun with our guide Greg. His historical knowledge and entertaining story telling was top notch. We visited places in Edinburgh we would probably never have known about and in doing so learnt more about this great cities history.
