Don't Go to the Cathedral and Museum WITHOUT a Guide

We are so glad we went to the Cathedral and Museum with a guide. Elena is a young lady, and she has a degree in Arts and History. I had asked her Major at the University because she knows so much about including the years of occurrence. Many pieces at the Museum wouldn't have meant much without her explanation. While she was taking the time to talk in front of many artifacts, we saw many people had just walked by, and I felt sorry for them missing such meaningful pieces. Ask questions, she will have the answers! Thanks, Elena, we had a wonderful experience.

Driving tour around Finisterre, Costa del Morte and Muxia

After an earlier tour (Rias Baixas) we had hoped to get more information during the tour. This tour was light on information about the area. Particularly, we had only one mention of the Costa del Morte at the beginning of the day and no further mention despite the fact that we drove along this coast. There was a lot of free time given in Finisterre with no direction so we spent our time after lunch wandering aimlessly. That said, the tour route was spectacular and the guide and driver extremely pleasant. It was more a driving tour than a cultural tour.

A full day with a nice mix of stops, lunch break & an excellent guide.

A good mix of information given out; historic, contemporary, rural, agricultural, environmental. A good Spanish & English speaking guide. Well paced to show the various sites as well as a long enough time for the lunch stop. An excellent spot to visit, with the wild Atlantic Ocean as a back drop, with beautiful rural Galicia being interpreted as we went along.

A guided tour through the cathedral and museum is a must.

We knew that the cathedral was under restoration and yet we were not disappointed thanks to our guide who did a good job, and the museum visit. However we should mention that the tour did not included a walk around the cathedral to learn and appreciate the symbolic facades.

Tour was listed as English speaking, but well, not so much, about 1:3

Great tour, guide, and driver, comfortable bus, but it was listed as an English speaking. The guide spoke in Spanish at great length, often, first, then short bits of info in English.
