Took two hours to get to San Antonio de Areco, stopped at the small town on the way to the ranch. Nice church. Very informative guide. At the ranch we had a drink and some empanadas - they were excellent. Then there was a choice of horse riding or a carriage ride. It was possible to wander around the ranch. Lunch went on and on, the food was good. Don't fill up on the first round of meat - there were sausages, then pork, then chicken, then lamb, then beef, then more beef and more beef. There were some 'salad' dishes to go with all the meat. Wine, beer or soft drinks. Two choices for dessert. Then there was a 'show' with dancing and some singing. Audience participation - not for me!!! Very basic. Best part was the horse whispering demonstration, that was brilliant. I was expecting more gaucho demonstrations, but not to be. Another two hours back to Buenos Aires. Nice to get out of the city and see some countryside.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tango show, fabulous dancing. The meal was ok, empanadas to start (not the best) followed by a choice of main courses. The steak was big and served with roast potatoes, so quite a dry meal. Wine, beer or soft drinks were served. Pudding was panna cotta, although there was a choice. The show consisted of a small band, about 6 people, 6 dancers and 2 singers. The musicians were good. Singers probably my least favourite part of the show, as I didn't know what they were singing about!! Overall it was a great night.

I had a tour that not only met, but exceeded my expectations. Not only was Pat super knowledgeable, but very personable. I was on the tour alone which sometimes can be a bit awkward with someone you don't know, BUT within 5 minutes I felt very comfortable and had the best day exploring El Tigre. I was discouraged by many to not take a tour and to do this on my own and I'm SO glad that I spent the money and did the tour! It was worth every penny!

Enjoyed this tour although I would have been happy to see more graffiti and have less talk. However, the guide was very informative and his English was very good. The tour took us down alleyways and roads that we wouldn't have know about. Interesting to hear about the background to some of the graffiti. Overall a good tour.

The whole process went very smoothly..We loved the Tango lessons and the show was amazing..We were pleasantly surprised that dinner was delicious and the wine glasses were never empty..This is an experience not to be missed and it was a very good value
