What people are saying about Budva
We visited Budva, Kotor and Perast all of which were beautiful and travel worthy destinations. It was a door to door service, picked up (7.15am) and dropped off (8.30pm) at our hotel. Lydia our guide was delightful and very knowledgeable and informative with the right balance of quiet periods. Her restaurant recommendation in Budva was not good (sorry Lydia) - whilst the staff were lovely, the food was not. It was a very hot day and the aircon was practically non-existent. It seemed to be retro fitted and consisted of ugly pipes visible through a hole in the panel above your head which wasnt ideal but would have been OK if effective. All in all a lovely day out in a breathtakingly beautiful country. Only downsides were air con and that the journey to first destination Budva was 4 hours!
This tour was great for some of the highlights of Montenegro. We discovered that there is a lot more to see and the tour has inspired us to return in the future. It was well organised though a long day, but I don't think it could have been any shorted due to everything we fitted in. Our guide was great: informative, interesting and enthusiastic. She had good recommendations and engaged with everyone on the tour. I would advise anyone on this tour to bring a swimsuit and be aware that it is safe to leave things on the bus. Bring something to occupy your time at the border crossing and also wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
Excellent trip to discover different parts of Montenegro. During the day you go from one highlight after the other. The country is really beautiful and it is really worth it discovering it beyond the Kotor Bay. The trip is really well organized, the shuttle very comfortable. Nina, the tour guide was really nice and provided a lot of information about the country. Be aware that the final prize for the day amounts more around 70 € with the meals and the entry to the national park.
I had booked the tour months in advance for Saturday at 8am, but when no one showed up by 8:30, I called the local number I was provided and was told there was a problem contacting me. Further, due to a technical difficulty, I was asked to reschedule to Sunday instead of Saturday. Fortunately, we were still in Kotor on Sunday, and we had a great tour with a great guide. But had we left Kotor a day earlier, it may have been a problem because the tour was pre-paid.
It was a long day, but definitely worth it. It was an amazing tour. Out tourguide Luka was very nice. He told us a lot about the the stops and Montenegro. Furthermore, besides him being very professional, he was also really friendly and the group laughed a lot. So, if you want to have an idea about the different environments in Montenegro, book this tour. 430+ km in a full day (our pick up in Tivat was at 06:45h and our drop off in Tivat around 22:30h).
